The Champion Pneumatic Machinery Company, Inc. started manufacturing air compressors in 1919, and was responsible for the development of the first two-stage air compressor in the single-acting small air compressor market. The dedication of engineers and skilled craftsmen quickly moved Champion air compressor products into the forefront of air compressor technology and leadership.
The R series reciprocating air compressors are well suited to be Champions--from their tough exteriors to their rugged hearts. Available from 11/2 HP to 30 HP (60 HP if duplex mounted), the features include cast iron crankcase, cast iron or cast iron lined domed cylinders that eliminate head gasket failure, and valve discs precisely machined of Swedish Steel and crankshafts of rugged ductile iron. This results in long, trouble-free service with unequaled operating efficiency.
